EVENT DAY DIRECTION

Our EVENT DAY options are for the client that feels comfortable doing some of the legwork and using our customized vendor recommendations. You still get the main tools to plan your event and our advice is always at the ready.

DESIGN & DETAILS

DESIGN & DETAILS is for clients who want our basic event day direction with the additional help with wrap-up and bringing your design concepts to reality. Mood boards and design mock-ups are just some of the tools we use to bring your vision to life.

COMPLETE EVENT PRODUCTION

COMPLETE EVENT PRODUCTION is for clients who want help from the start, a professional to walk hand-in-hand with them to plan and design the event of their dreams. We provide our complete set of planning tools and checklists, full event design and assistance with all of your vendors.

OUR ULTIMATE EVENT EXPERIENCE

ULTIMATE EVENT EXPERIENCE is for couples who want it all! Additional services here include the planning of up to two satellite events (perfect for cultural or religious ceremonies, multi-event weekends or PNW destination events, as well as services to assemble any design items for you.

OUR PROCESS

Let’s Get to Know Each Other!

We set up a Zoom or phone meeting first to see if we are a great match! It’s so important to love and trust your planner and we get that! Upon booking, we have an initial planning meeting to REALLY get to know you and what makes you tick. We talk about you, the person we are celebrating, favorite hobbies and foods, and anything that inspires us in creating your dream event.

 

2.

Brainstorm & Create a Plan

We start by assessing where you are at with planning, and we figure out the best course of action. Whether it be starting with an event budget to follow or creating a monthly planning checklist to keep your tasks manageable, we tailor the plan to your lives. We are big believers in prioritization, so this is the point we work together to figure out what event elements are the most important to YOU.

 

3.

Build Your Dream Team

I can’t say it enough - it’s so important to LOVE your vendors! This is why we don’t work with a pre-made vendor referral sheet. We customize all recommendations based on your personality, style, unique needs and budget. This way we can put together a killer team of professionals that is just right for you! Oftentimes we can imagine the perfect match just from chatting, and we love being able to be “matchmaker” for our clients with vendors we’ve met over 20 years of planning.

Design Time

After getting any inspiration from you, via Pinterest boards, pictures saved on your phone or even magazine clippings, we begin our design process. I look at design in an all-encompassing way, ranging from the guest experience to the flow of your event and of course all of the visual design aspects. I create a customized design deck outlining color schemes, inspiration, rentals, floral, print goods and any personal details you select.

 

5.

Legwork & Production

Many people forget that there is still work after selecting and booking your vendors. There is the building out of the overall plan, creating layout diagrams and figuring out how it all fits together. There is also lots and lots (and LOTS) of communication with vendors. This is key to getting us to the production portion where all of the above comes together logistically.

Celebrate!

We made it to the event week! Let us wrap up everything and make sure that our plan can go off without a hitch. You sit back and relax and enjoy your family and friends, and the amazing celebration that we have created as a team. We will work with your dream team to bring all of your plans to life and make sure you enjoy the celebration of your milestone event!

FAQs

  • Our Final Planning services are the closest to event day services, but beefed up to provide the level of service that Simply Bash is known for. This means we can start as soon as you book, you can utilize your meetings / time however you would like and we know as much as possible about your big day! It also allows us to assist you in putting together a killer team from the get-go, if that’s what you need.

  • Anything and everything! We have done Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Milestone Birthdays and Anniversaries, Proposals, Celebrations of Life, Baby Showers, Summer Parties, Back-to-School Parties, Slumber Parties (the reasons to party are endless!), as well as Non-Profit Events.

  • We typically start booking dates one year in advance, give or take a little. While we are planners, we do believe in such a thing as having too much time to plan (this can lead to decision fatigue and changed minds!). The sweet spot for us is between 6-12 months. Why such a range? Because everybody is different and we recognize that in these times there is often a need for a planner as soon as clients start planning while some don’t discover the need until a few months of going it alone.

  • We do not have a budget minimum, and still work with a wide range of budgets! We will assist you in discussing during our initial consultation if our services are a good fit both style and price-wise.

  • We do! While we have planned events in multiple states and countries, these days our signature services and expertise mainly keep us in the Pacific Northwest and Washington state. Although exceptions can be made with a good argument!

  • We are big believers in quality over quantity, and strive to offer the best possible service to every single one of our clients, no matter what services they have hired us for. We also believe in finding your “just right” match in vendors, so we take those matches seriously while planning out our year! With all of that said, we only book up to 15 events per year, and never more than one event in a week (unless those multiple events belong to one client!).

  • At the end of the day, my bottom line is your happiness. There is no other vendor that has *just* the client at stake… For instance, the venue has the building/property, the caterer has the food and the musicians have their gear and instruments. YOU are MY sole focus! Your planner can take care of the million details that you never even thought of. My job is also to create a level of trust so that you can “let go” of everything you have planned months for and relax and enjoy your event day, as well as the unique experience of time with all of your family and loved ones! Let your vendors do what their job is, and that is to be the best and focused at taking amazing photos or pulling off a plated meal for 200 or entertaining a packed dance floor. I work hand-in-hand with an experienced team of people to make sure you walk away thinking…that was the BEST celebration ever!
