SIMPLY BASH OWNER AND LEAD PLANNER
I first fell in love with the thrill and energy of events while I was earning my BS in Fashion Merchandising and I had the amazing opportunity to work backstage at London Fashion Week. Every bit of it was exciting and I knew I wanted more. After a short stint in the corporate world and the experience of planning my own wedding, I decided to follow my heart into planning weddings and events, and in 2002 Simply Wed was born! I approach my work with a sense of humor (making clients laugh is the BEST!), a get-it-done attitude, and a simple, collaborative approach to planning and design. I’ve produced several hundred weddings and events, and through it all, that thrill and energy is still what makes me tick!
Over the years I’ve also acted as the Director of Events at the contemporary art museum BAM, as well as the Events Manager for The Seattle International Film Festival. I’ve been married for over 20 years to my college sweetheart (!), I’m the mother of the most amazing twins and I adore my 2-year-old pup.

FAVORITE MOMENT AT AN EVENT:
The moment when I get to “reveal” the event to my clients. There is nothing better than watching the joy and amazement on people’s faces as they watch months of hard work come to life!
CURRENT OBSESSIONS:
Binging Bravo TV shows (no judgment!), my neighborhood hike with my bff (that’s my husband), my cups (weird, I know. There’s either a Yeti or a Starbucks straw cup in my hand at all times), my twins (they are legit the kindest and coolest teens with the best style, artistic talent, amazing souls and so dang smart!), my growing sneaker collection, everything fashion.
CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:
Morning Fizzy Tea made by hubby (a tradition born during Covid times!), my favorite pens, online shopping, lip balm, my family, pup snuggles, my favorite tv shows.
BEST MEAL EVER:
It’s a tie between Salad Nicoise & a Chocolate Mousse the size of my head on vacation in Nice, or a simple picnic eaten in my tube in Ohanapecosh River. I also had the best cheeseburger of my life at Cheeseburger In Paradise on the first night of my honeymoon… food + travel - I’m seeing a trend here!
MY TOP ADVICE FOR CLIENTS:
Remember WHY you are doing this - because you want to celebrate a milestone that is unique and special to YOU. Don’t sweat the tiny things (let me do that for you!). Prioritize what matters to you, rather than following the trends.
